Randy Leipnik Producer~Editor~Composer~Arranger~Musical Director~Keyboards Canadian born, Randy has been making a career of music since 1969. He studied music with the Royal Conservatory of Toronto and at Queens University. He played, arranged and conducted musical groups for six years on cruise ships all over the world. Randy has performed with artists such as The Four Aces, The Inkspots, The Diamonds, Gaylord & Holiday, The Velvelettes, The Contours, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Mary Wells, Lou Christie, Ziggy Elmer and Meredith Wilson. He also spent two years with Eddie Kendrick, David Ruffin and Dennis Edwards of The Temptations. With the above acts, Randy has performed on the same bill as David Clayton-Thomas/Blood, Sweat & Tears, The Mamas and the Papas, The Stylistics, The Main Ingredient, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, Jay and the Americans, The Delphonics, The Marvellettes, Jerry Butler, The Laredos, The Dramatics, Junior Walker & The All Stars, The Four Tops, Mary Wilson & The Supremes, Gary U.S. Bonds, The Soul Survivors, The Crickets, Billy Eckstein, Ben E. King, Dion, Franki Valli & The Four Seasons, The Platters, The Righteous Brothers and many others. In 1984 Randy established a company called "Creative Musical Services" providing services including studio recording and production, location recording, video and film scores, audio-visual advertising, performance, musical arrangements, musical direction, graphic design and media duplication services. Semper Media Group now adds fully digital production capability for industrial video as well as music video to this extensive range of services offered. Randy currently records and produces original album projects, producing and developing new artists for independent label Semper Records. He also administers "Cover To Cover Music BMI", a music publishing company, as well as "Step By Step Publishing", a company dedicated to children’s books and tapes and other publications in the areas of music, education, philosophy and positive thought. Randy can usually be found operating his studio in Oak Park, Michigan. |
Clyde Stringer Videography ~ Photography ~ Lighting Direction Biography A transplanted Missourian, Mr. Stringer moved to Detroit with his family over three decades ago, intent on bringing his insight and perspective to the photographic industry. During the ensuing years, this commitment to a fresh viewpoint merited Blue Ribbons from the Professional Photographers Association of America, a Certificate of Distinction from Art Direction Magazine, and an Honor Award from the Industrial Photographers Association of America. In addition, he has received a Silver and Golden Eagle Award for Cinematography and Lighting. He has been honored as a finalist in the American Film Festival and, among many other recognitions, the tribute of having his work displayed at the Detroit Institute of Arts. This fresh viewpoint, this different ledge from which we can see the world, has, most importantly, earned Mr. Stringer the respect of his peers. He is currently serving as the Vice President of The Creative Healing Initiative Partnership (C.H.I.P.), a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to exploring the link between the arts and healing, as well as providing alternative health services for musicians and artists. Nolan Mendenhall Music Producer ~ Director Nolan divided his earliest musical experiences between classical studies on upright bass and bashing in rock bands. A St. Louis native he was thrust into a diverse scene of R&B, blues, rock, and eventually jazz and salsa. These wide-ranging disciplines led to work with Wilson Picket, Earl Klugh, Chuck Berry, Little Anthony, Gary U.S. Bonds, The Coasters, The Platters, The Drifters, Martha Reeves, Joan Baez, Phil Ochs, Junior Wells and others. Arriving in Detroit, Nolan gained recording experience, including a stint with Motown arranger/Producer David Van DePitt. He went on to record and perform with the Automatix (MCA, Flash Kahan (Capitol), Black Market and countless other artists. "I was working with an engineer at United Sound when we decided we could improve on what the Producer was doing," muses Nolan. "The next day we got business cards that said we were producers, and ... Voila!... we were!." Nolan's deep musical roots, an attitude of wide-eyed wonder, and a fierce curiosity keep him growing and changing. he explains his restlessness simply, "You can't record by template, you've got to remain open and be willing to re-think, or you'll miss the magic." The recording process is fraught with pitfalls, each presenting a unique creative opportunity. Nolan's experience as a performer, writer andmusician puts him squarely in a position to guide artists to their greater expression. Nolan has held staff positions at Yessian Music, Livewire Music and Sparling Music and is the winner for Outstanding Record Producer for the 2002 Detroit Music Awards. In the realm of video, Nolan has directed music videos of artists as diverse as Riot In Progress and Tracy Leigh Bechard. |
Lon Stratton Since 1984 Mr. Stratton has been actively involved in cinematography, first as a camera assistant, then as director of photography. His projects have included television commercials, documentaries, feature and short films. Between l975 and l984, he worked as a service technician for Victor Duncan, Inc. (Later Panavision) in Chicago and Detroit, gaining considerable knowledge and experience with all camera equipment used in the motion picture industry. In l984 he opened his own rental and service business, Stratton Camera Inc. http://www.strattoncamera.com.
