DREAD LOCKS & PONY TALES  (The Longhairz)
CD# 77772
Spoken-word and music. Positive thoughts, well-delivered and easy on the ears.
The debut recording of this unique collective. Joe Reilly, Will Copeland and Brian Babb with assistance from Lisa Hunter and Angela Jones. Special vocal appearance by Annie Humphrey.

MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS  (Joe Reilly)
Café-style music with a peaceful twist. This fine young composer will reel you in with all the skill of the muse. An outstanding debut disc.

SECOND COMING  (Eryke McClinton)
This outstanding singer came from the Motown label where he had great success years ago. Now, with a different kind of sincerity, feel the power of song addressing Heaven.
With a voice that will remind you of David Ruffin at his best, this man is the vehicle for some of the most amazing sounds you will ever hear sung in praise.

BETH MERRY AND FRIENDS  (Beth Merry)
A swinging set of jazz standards from this exceptional Motown vocalist with lots of personality and easygoing style. You will make this smooth sounding recording a regular listen.

Classical piano with a 1999 sense of harmony and syncopation. Modern music from a great tradition. FORGET THE FORTUNE, EAT THE COOKIE  (Marvin Kahn/Keith Vreeland)
CD# J11853-7  Cassette# J11853-7
Marvin Kahn, alto clarinet; Keith Vreeland, piano/keyboards and George Bennett, drums.  Mellow and creative original improvisations from Marvin Kahn, who led a big band in the ‘40s that enjoyed a weekly national radio broadcast.  At the same time, Marvin had a record deal with MCA but, unfortunately for the music world, was drafted into the army before he could record.  An excerpt from his last radio show is included in track fourteen, "1940", which he wrote for a jitterbug contest at the Graystone Ballroom in Detroit, coincidentally, in 1940.

FINDING SOLITUDE  (Paul Burns)  CD#
A meditative and healing album that will relax and offer musical stimulation.

HEARTFELT  (Paul Burns)
Cassette# S41164-1 CD# S41164-2
Symphonic New-Age Impressionism….you won’t care what label it carries…this is GREAT creative, moving instrumental music from an inspired young composer who happens to be related to Bill Evans. (Evans the pianist, that is.) Very prolific, Paul has also achieved a high degree of proficiency on the Digeridoo.

THE DIDGERIDOO:  A HEALING MEDITATION  (Paul Burns)  CD#
A one-note piece with a profound ability to relax and send the listener into a peaceful and meditative state. If one is in a meditative state, it is thought to be more difficult for pain to be felt.  Used by a major alternative healing clinic.

AQUA BLUE  (Paul Burns)  CD#

FINGERPRINTS  (Paul Burns)
CD#  C7281-2
Story-telling with a MIDI symphony…everything around us carries the fingerprints of the gods.  These are musical images that describe the wonders of nature in a much larger universe.

Joe Messina, chromatic harmonica; Dave Allen, trumpet and flugelhorn; Sven Anderson, piano; Jerry Jenson, guitar; Chuck Bergeron, acoustic bass; Rob Emanuel, drums and Jim Wickstrom, human whistling machine.  The latest from Motown’s legendary session player, Joe Messina, who played guitar on every Motown hit from Berry Gordy’s Hitsville USA studio.  Joe also played 23 years on live television for ABC, backing many of the greatest names in jazz.  This is an album of swingin’ standards, arranged in Joe’s own original style.

Canada’s Cameron Weir, alto and tenor sax, bass clarinet and flute; Dave Allen, trumpet and flugelhorn; Sven Anderson, piano; Ken Kellett, acoustic bass and Rob Emanuel, drums.  A collection of modern jazz originals by Cameron Weir in an adventurous style reminiscent of Eric Dolphy.   Swingin’ upbeat stuff and beautiful ballads.

With Ray Manzerolle, Gordie Johnson, Doug Tann, Randy Leipnik

A MUSICAL STORY  (Jack M.)
CD#  R91451-1 & Cassette
Rock & Roll songs about addiction and the perils of life on the street.  Not endorsed by AA but written from the soul of the Program. Caution: Loud, distorted rockin’ guitars and powerful, moving lyrics.  A true reality check for the recovering substance abuser.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS  (The Authentic Dickens Carolers)
CD # J81172 Cassette# J811531-6
Great Christmas favorites, both traditional and modern, mostly a cappella, from this remarkable quartet.   One of Detroit’s best kept secrets.

GOTTA START SOMEWHERE  (Aaron Vaughn)
CD# R7789-2 &  Cassette# R7789-4
All-American classic rock with guitar, bass and drums. The debut collection of great songs from the pen of a fine young writer.  No-frills, honest rock and roll.  Melodies that you will hum all day. Move over John Fogerty. (Just kidding! There’s room for all of us!)
Aaron Vaughn.  A world-class musician  with a lot to say.

CHEAP RESTAURANT  (Aaron Vaughn)

A NIGHT OUT  (Uno)
CD# R9876-2  & Cassette# R9876-4
Estonian jazzy-rock. Very fresh stuff from Estonia (across the pond, not far from Finland, for the geographically challenged.) Lots of MIDI, rock-driven guitar energy, organization with kickin’ solos. You’ve never heard anything quite like it. We hope for more Trans-Atlantic collaboration with this fine composer and thoughtful man.

THE STORIES OF EDWARD DOLAN
  (Edward Dolan, Storyteller)
(CD)
From the house of Dolan, philosophy and whimsy couched in the venerable art of the storyteller. Warm and wise observations on the human condition in a most wonderful Irish accent.

CLAY, SKIN & WOOD  (Steve Goldstein and Mike Adams)
CD# W6472-1
Udu drums (Nigerian clay pot drums), the art of their construction brought to the West almost single handedly by Frank Giorgini.  Powerful world music by two highly developed percussionists from Minneapolis, MN and Detroit, MI.

THE MUSIC OF DAVID TREVIS  (David Trevis)
The late bassist and composer from Toronto, Ontario in a two-disc set recorded at the all-star performance at his memorial. Moving jazz beautifully orchestrated and played from the heart by David’s friends, some of Toronto’s best.
